Just 20 years-old, Merum Priorati has emerged as one of the most important estates working the fractured black slate “Licorella” and crazy steep hills of Priorat.  For such a baking hot region, this blend of Garnacha, Carignan and 10% Cabernet is remarkably fresh and drinkable. Dense black fruit at the core gets lift from pomegranate juice, blood orange peel, and just a touch of spice. Silky, long, and ready.

For You If:   You love big reds that make a big impression while staying easy to drink; you enjoy Rhone red flavors like Chateauneuf du Pape or California Rhone Ranges and want that experience with a flash of Spanish style.

Not For You If:   You’re looking for something light – this is a “real” Priorat including the 15.5% alcohol, but done in a deliciously drinkable and vivid style.
