Organic/Bio Intentionally mirroring the best of white Cotes du Rhone, this blend of 34% Viognier, 31% Marsanne, 20% Grenache Blanc, 13% Roussanne and 2% Clairette Blanche delivers energy and ripeness. As Wine Advocate said in the 92-94 point review, “The nose is a beautiful combination of floral, breezy, honeyed and ripe, with ripe but focused orchard fruit aromas mingling with those of white flowers and wild herbs. The palate echoes this balance with lovely concentration and power braced with streaks of bright, chiseled precision.”
For You If: You like a hint of Viognier perfume and peach balanced by Grenache/Roussanne richness and lifted by Marsanne/Clairette cut and minerality; you’re looking for something mind-numbingly good to drink with fish tacos and a spicy fruit salsa.
Not For You If: You want lots of super-ripe California fruit or overt oak – this is more crisp/savory in feel although still shows attractive weight and volume.
