Organic/Bio Lower ABV If you love Pet-Nat, then you'll love this. And, if you don't know about this "hipster" fizz yet (or haven't liked the funky ones you've tried so far), this is going to make you a fan! The phrase comes from Pétillant-Naturel, meaning a wine that goes into bottle while still fermenting, trapping some light fizz naturally.
Here the base wine is the fantastic Verdicchio of La Staffa with about 20% Trebbiano for body. Sure, it smells and tastes great - clean, fresh, notes of crunchy apple, white peach, and fresh lemon pulp and a tiny hint of ginger. But it's the texture that's captivating, zesty and mouthfilling and satisfying without one jot of extra weight (11% alcohol) or sweetness. Less fizzy and MUCH more flavorful than Prosecco, it's a wine to drink to celebrate an afternoon, to toast unexpected guests, or just because you're thirsty.
