In the deep south of Provence, Mourvedre ripens to earthy complexity and makes of the backbone of Bandol. You'll taste that here along with ripe fruit from Grenache and a bit of mineral bite from Cinsault. There's lots of ripe, rich, fruit here - grilled orange, juicy peach, a bit of red berry - with a touch of stony minerality and deep earthy complexity. Wets your mouth nicely with fine freshness to balance the earthy intensity. Delicious, especially with summery meals or even grilled meats.
For You If: You're looking for a Rose that drinks a little bit like a red but with rose refreshment to match.
Not For You If: You're after something light and crisp - this isn't heavy, but has plenty of body and richness to go with the dry finish.
