Lower ABV Fifth-generation winegrower Cyril Gautheron’s home is across the road from the Fourneaux vineyard, so he certainly knows this sunny site well! Here he’s crafted a classic 1er cru Chablis, showcasing the region’s stone and seashell minerality matched with generous apple and green pear fruit. Done all in steel, this is clean, pure and easy to drink with a nice burst of salty seashell on the dry finish.
For You If: You enjoy the classic blend of minerality, freshening cut, and generous and inviting fruit Chablis is famous for.
Not For You If: You’re after the richness of “Chardonnay” or the smoky notes of barrel aging – this was done all in steel to let the fruit and minerality shine through.
