Lower ABV A tiny production (600 cases) White Burgundy that delivers amazing delight. The white stones in the vineyard help ripening, as does average vine age over 50 years, allowing Anne-Sophie Debavelaere and her son, Felix, to ferment and age this in barrel (just 10% new). The 2022 has excellent density and concentration and a silky texture while delivering ripe stone and orchard fruit and just at touch of hazelnut. A bit Meursault in style with soft green herbs lingering.
For You If: You’re after a brilliant match for seared scallops, baked lobster, and/or crispy roasted chicken or mushrooms.
Nott For You If: You’re after no wood – there’s a touch of spice here – or none at all – it’s subtle.
