Lower ABV A tremendous Bourgogne Pinot Noir here with the richness of volume you’d expect in 2022 plus true elegance, finesse and structure to pair with food and reward time in cellar. No surprise to us that Burghound named this an “Outstanding Top Value,” saying, “Pretty and relatively cool aromas are derived more from the red side of the fruit spectrum along with discreet earth and violet scents. The sleek, and relatively refined, flavors possess a fine sense of verve that carries over to the focused, dusty and youthfully austere finish.” Elegance that delivers on flavor and delight even at this young age.
For You If: You enjoy sophisticated and complex Red Burgundy with old vine intensity and the kind of non-fruit aromas and flavors, minerality and elegance that sets Burgundy apart from all other Pinot Noir; you’re looking for an interesting and delicious Burgundy Pinot to both drink now and cellar for up to 10 years and a nicely comfortable cost.
Not For You If: You’re after the iron-ore minerality and grip of something like Gevrey-Chambertine – this is more in the style of Vosne-Romanee, where the winery is based.
