You might think of this as an Argentinian take on Hermitage Blanc, and that’s not a bad place to start. It’s a 50/50 blend of Marsanne and Roussanne aged in old casks with 10% under Flor (like in Sherry). The aromas and flavors are wild - peach, green apple, hazelnut and cashew – as is the richly creamy texture that turns more lean and focused through a very long, minerally and mouthwatering finish. Pretty brilliant.
For You If: You like your white wines to take you on a journey of flavor, texture and complexity that never feels you feeling lost or uncertain – because you’ll be absolutely certain this is delicious!
Not For You If: You’re after the fruitiness of a typical white Rhone or the oaky spice of American Chardonnay – this is really mineral without any harshness at all.
