Pesenti is a wild site and makes one of the most unique wines in the Turley line-up.  The mostly Zinfandel vines were planted here on the west side of Paso Robles in 1920 - pretty normal for Turley - but on a white limestone soil that's very unusual for Zin indeed. As the winery writes, the soils here give the wines "a brightness, with chalk and floral aromas unique to the site, and to Zinfandel in general."

"The 2021 Zinfandel Pesenti Vineyard is packed with dark fruit, candied plum, spice, lavender and leather. This opulent, flamboyant Paso Robles Zinfandel from vines planted in 1923 is a wine of extremes. Jammy, opulent fruit and searing acids are all dialed up. Then again, that is Paso."
