A truly old-vine Russian River Zinfandel mainly from vines 100+ years old, this delivers both the intense fruit Zin-heads love and a refreshing freshness that makes it hard to stop drinking.  Raspberry pie, kirsch, star anise and rose petal scents pull you into a full-bodied red with a bit of chew and long, long, finish.  The red plum and incense notes that come up with air are captivating.

For You If:   You love full-bodied Zinfandel and are in the mood for one that has the balance and restraint to work solo, with BBQ and with fancier feasts, too.

Not For You If:   You're looking for "light" - this is a generous 15.5% alcohol with tons of body and no burning heat.
