Lower ABV Wine Enthusiast says “The palate is juicy with good salinity and bitterness and great acidity.” JamesSuckling.com loved the “refreshing and tangy character on the palate.” And Vinous sums up the 2024 Rose Gold perfectly: “Delivers everything you could want from a Côtes de Provence Rosé…Dances across the tongue with impeccable balance. This really scratches the itch. In a word: gluggable.”
We say this blend of Cinsault, Grenache and Carignan walks the line between "full of fruit" and "bone dry" perfectly. The crisp peach, watermelon, Honeydew and strawberry fruit are definitely there and flood your palate nicely with flavor. And then the wild herb/savory notes, a squirt of crunchy cranberry, a dusting of minerally gravel and fine tannin clean things up wonderfully and leave things feeling very dry. The whole effect is delightful - invitingly delicious and thirst-quenchingly vibrant and dry. A terrific Provencal pink at a great savings price.
For You If: You love Provencal rose and are in the mood for one that’s both full of fruit and dry, mouthwatering and refreshing on the finish; you’re looking for rosé that quenches your thirst in summer and has the body and texture to keep on giving delight through fall, winter and next spring, too.
Not For You If: You’re looking for an off-dry rosé – this is all the way dry; you’re after the extra body and texture you find from places like Bandol or Tavel – this is airy, bright and fresh.
