This wine is stupid good. The blend of ripeness, finesse, purity and flavor intensity would be expected in a great $50 Pinot Noir. For less than half that, the value here is nuts. As Vinous says in their 90 point write-up, this is "another fine appellation-level offering from Presqu'ile. Sweet red cherry, cedar, tobacco, dried flowers and herbs all grace this mid-weight yet juicy Pinot. This floral, savory red is all charm." A lot of flavor and character at a very nice price!
For You If: You enjoy the ripe fruit flavors of California Pinot Noir with an extra dose of minerality and freshness.
Not For You If: You're looking for a Pinot that's "heavy" or highly-oaked - this flows with a silky, pure, feel and is just lightly spiced by wood.
