Sangiovese from Montepulciano is naturally a little darker and more powerful than from Chianti, and Poliziano leans into that with plenty of dark color and a spicy oak sheen. As Suckling says in the 92 point review, "A modern Vino Nobile with dark chocolate and some plush spices. Aromas of plums, roasted red peppers, berries and pine cones follow through to a tight, medium- to full-bodied palate. This is firm and long."  Best with food.

For You If:   You're in the mood for something with Sangiovese structure and a bit of Napa Cab flash.

Not For You If:   You're looking for Chianti-like leather and earth notes - this is all about the fruit and spice.
