Organic/Bio Lower ABV Before bubbles took over in the 18th century, Champagne was most famous for it's very Burgundy-like red Pinot Noir. The tradition continues today in Coteaux Champenois like this one, 100% Pinot Noir made dry and still in the traditional Burgundy way. It's a stony, dusky, expression of Pinot with the black cherry fruit wrapped up in layers of damp earth, smoke and spice. Long and firm, this is a great Pinot for beef, lamb or other robust meals.
For You If: You enjoy a deep earthy, mineral, smoky streak to complement dark Pinot Noir cherry fruit; you enjoy Sancerre Rouge - this is like that, but more serious.
