Lower ABV There's a lot going on here if you want to geek out and try to describe it, but the top -line is that it's really good Chenin with a touch of barrel that goes down almost too easily. The flavors of quince, apple, spicy oak, wet wool and crunchy stone fruit are delightful. But the texture is the star here, really caressing your palate with excellent glide and feel. Yum.
For You If: You already know you like Loire Valley Chenin Blanc and want to enjoy one with exceptional texture and a touch of oak; you're looking for a wine with an almost Chardonnay feel but flavors that are more fresh, mouthwatering and fun!
Not For You If: You're looking for lean/mean Chenin - this is just 13.0%, so hardly heavy, but delivers a lot of roundness and is as delicious solo as it will be with river fish or aged goat cheese.
