Lower ABV Not sure why this is labeled “Bourgogne,” but it’s all Macon fruit and showcases the richness of southern Burgundy Chardonnay balanced by some shaping time in large, older, oak casks. The texture is lovely here with a sense of substance and flow to the green and yellow apple fruit and varietal spice. There’s a touch of salty minerality on the dry finish, but the overall impression is one of flow and ease vs a real bite. Fun.
For You If: You want a glass of classy Chardonnay to just drink, share, enjoy – this isn’t complex or demanding, but it is very tasty and fun to drink.
Not For You If: You’re after something seriously intense or minerally or the flavors of oak – this is easy, flowing, tasty and shaped by oak, but not flavored by it.
