A stylish and focused Sancerre from vines growing in the limestone/gravel soils known as caillottes. After fermentation in tank, the wine ages in large acacia-wood barrels, gaining a bit of richness without wood notes. This feels smoky and savory with plenty of stone and citrus fruit lifted by a crisp burst of zesty lime and salty stone minerality at the end. Supple enough for solo sipping and better still with food.
For You If: You enjoy a whiff of "gunflint" with your ripe citrus and stone-fruited Sancerre Sauvignon Blanc; you're having something with goat cheese - a classic match here!
