Lower ABV The Falerio DOC sits at the southern end of the Marche, on Italy's Adriatic coast just East of Umbria. The relatively new DOC was created in 1975 to promote the region's two best white wine grapes - Passerina and Pecorino - while continuing to allow use of the ubiquitous Trebbiano. As required by the DOC rules, De Angelis uses all three grapes here, all grown on the lower slopes of the steep hills that run down to sand and stone beaches along the Adriatic Sea.
This is another lovely release with the fresh lime juice aromas and flavors giving nice lift to crunchy pineapple and apricot and a gentle, stony, minerality at the end. It's a lovely solo sipper and will shine with all kinds of seafood or anything battered and fried - the local fritto misto would be perfect!
For You If: You love fresh, flavorful, whites that stay light (just 12.5% alcohol here) and finish with vibrant minerality; you're after something to sip with fried veggies or seafood - this is a natural!
