A welcoming, generous and fully-fruited California Pinot Noir from this old-vine site just outside the town of Sonoma. Fully destemmed and aged in French oak (a little new), it’s bursting with dark black cherry and raspberry fruit with plenty of sweet spice. A hint of black tea and cracked peppercorn add even more interest to a wine that flows easily through a fruit and spice scented finish. Nice stuff.
For You If: You’re looking for directly delicious California Pinot Noir to pair with duck, salmon, mushrooms or just a room full of good friends.
Not For You If: You’re looking for Pinot packed with structure or oak – this is very supple and easy with just a pinch of wood spice.
