A rich take on Bordeaux from 90% Merlot and 10% Caberent grown just outside the Right Bank's St Emilion plateau. In half-bottle especially, this is developing nicely and is wide-open to enjoy. As James Suckling says in the 92 point review, it shows "Notes of black cherries and plums with vanilla, walnut and wet asphalt. Medium-bodied with ripe, velvety tannins and a juicy, mouthwatering character. Fine, chalky finish. Better from 2024."
For You If: You're looking for a complex and rich Bordeaux with good grip for food but not to harsh for solo sipping.
Not For You If: You're after something austere or powerful - this has grip, but also some lushness to the fruit that softens things nicely.
