Organic/Bio From Anna Espelt's granite-soiled Catalunya vineyard surrounded by the Mediterranean Sea on three sides, this is Garnacha with layers and a satisfyingly chunky feel. The dark red fruit and fresh herb/garrigue complexity are delivered with stunning transparency. Wild strawberry and sour cherry notes linger nicely on the crunchy finish.  As Vinous says in the 91 point review, "Ripe and rich, the slightly rough tannins sculpted by the season contribute to a compact, herbal finish—a sun-born red."

For You If:  You enjoy the rugged feel, ripe fruit and garrigue notes of Southern Rhone reds and like it even more with an extra touch of seaside flair.

Not For You If:  You're looking for something light - this carries its 15% alcohol well, but it's a big wine and wants some big food!
