Miles is unusual among Madiera houses, not because it uses Tinta Negra in its wines - it's the dominant grape on the island - but because they embrace and focus on it!  This shows mouthwatering acidity and sharpness with notes of dried honey, nutmeg, orange pith on the nose and adds a nice dose of tangy clementine and quince marmalade on the zippy finish. Lovely for solo sipping, enjoying with cheese and dried fruit and more fun at table than you’d expect!

For You If:   You’re looking for a good, all-purpose, Madeira for sipping after a meal or to pair with something rich or creamy at table.

Not For You If:   You’re looking for desert-wine levels of sweetness or bone, bone, dry – this has enough residual sugar to balance the sharp acidity and still finish dry and mouthwatering.
