Organic/Bio I know you didn't walk in thinking, "Marsannay Blanc, that's what I want." But you want this luscious and fine white Burgundy that priced like Marsannay but tastes a bit like it's from the hill of Corton. The 50% new oak was unavoidable - Patrick had only 2 barrels of wine and one was new - but fades nicely into the wine with air, letting the rich stone fruit and pear flavors shine with plenty of chalk and a pleasing touch of butter and spice. This is marvelous with roasted birds and butttery seafood and pretty darn tasty to just sip.
For You If: You enjoy white Burgundy with a bit of textural and flavor richness to go with the generous minerality and green apple acidity.
