Vinous describes this cheerful, fun, Abruzzo Montepulciano well: "opens with a darkly floral blend of wilted violets and lavender, giving way to crushed blackberries and sage. It's soft and round with a silken texture and masses of ripe red and black fruits. A saline minerality tinge adds traction as the 2022 finishes with medium length and gently tannic." Fun solo and even better with burgers, sausages or anything grilled, roasted or braised.

For You If:  You like hearty reds that fill your mouth with rich fruit and then finish fresh and dusty; you're after an all-purpose red to enjoy with and without food.

Not for You If:  You're looking for a wine with lots of cheek-puckering tannis - this is softer and more supple; you prefer reds that stay rich and ripe from front-to-back - this has a nice kick of Italian acidity on the close.
