Organic/Bio They say if you want to know how good a Barol/Barbaresco winemaker really is, taste their Dolcetto. A tricky grape to grow and make well and sure to sell for less than Barbera or Nebbiolo, only a meticulous and dedicated winegrower makes both fine Nebbiolo and outstanding Dolcetto. Enrico Nada certainly does. This is Dolcetto in it's darker, richer, bigger, form. As Vinous says, "Inky blue/purplish fruit, spice and licorice blast out of the glass. The Nada Dolcetto is typically a pretty big wine." Like all Dolcetto, salami and cheese is the classic pairing but sausage pizza or pasta is going to be just fine, too.
For You If: You're after an Italian version of Petit Sirah - juicier and more floral, but loaded with purple fruit and plenty of mouthwatering grip.
