Lower ABV This San Gimignano producer makes a lovely, light, and delightfully fun to drink Sangiovese. Vinous’s description of the 2020 applies here: “racy and exuberant in the glass. A rush of black cherry fruit, spice, licorice and leather opens first, followed by burly tannins that add grip as well as character. What it lacks in finesse it more than makes up for with its sheer appeal.”

For You If:  You’re in the mood for a light red – this is 13.0% and feels lighter – that packs a big punch of Tuscan Sangiovese flavor and character; you’re after a pizza/pasta Chianti – this will do great at table.

Not For You If:   You’re looking for something powerful or super-complex – this is lighter in feel and directly delicious.
