From vines north of Sancerre, this is mostly Pinot Noir with a splash of Gamay and while calling it a "charming Bistro Pinot" is accurate, it undersells the quality here by a fair bit. The cherry and mulberry fruit flavors are dark and remarkably deep for Pinot at this price piont, and stay definitely fresh and bright as a fistful of savory herbs add complexith and fine tannin just-right food-friendly structure. This is a lot of wine for the money and highly recommended by our whole team!
For You If: You’re looking for something to enjoy with sausages, cheese, or anything else with a salty/fatty profile – this complements the flavors and makes your mouth ready for another bite!
Not For You If: You’re looking for New World Pinot levels of fruit – the cherry/berry character is nice and ripe, but also very fresh with a noticable savory streak too.
