Organic/Bio From one of the first estates in Burgundy to go organic (the founders were ecology professors at the Sorbonne), this is lovely Bourgogne Pinot. The 16.5/20 review of the 2022 edition in JancisRobinson.com tells you exactly what to expect: "What a find! What a gem! It's everything you want a Pinot Noir to be – the prettiest fruit, pure and glad and transparent; sylph-like tannins; a palimpsest of autumn and mushrooms. A wine that is both gentle and insistent. Full of sap and life. Lovely, mellifluous length. "
For You If: You love easygoing red Burgundy Pinot with a perfect blend of pretty fruit and fine grip; you're looking for a red to enjoy with pre-dinner nibbles like mushroom focaccia or anything with smoky/salty cheese.
Not For You If: You're after the silk of Volnay or the power of Gevrey - this is Cote Chalonnaise, folks!
