Organic/Bio Eric Bonnet took over his family estate in 1999, so he has 25 years of organic farming and careful winemaking experience behind him now. Which his how he’s able to coax so much flavor and intensity out of his Cotes du Rhone Grenache and Syrah without going over the top. As Suckling says in the 90 point review, “A juicy blend of 60% grenache and 40% syrah, offering aromas of raspberries, currants and warm spices. Medium-bodied with velvety tannins and a delicious finish.”
For You If: You enjoy the deep fruit and while herb/black olive character of classic Cotes du Rhone in a round, supple, very drinkable format.
Not For You If: You’re looking for mega-extraction or volume – this has plenty of body, but the tannins stay friendly and the overall feel not at all heavy.
