Fleurie is Beaujolais more elegant, perfumed, Cru and this single vineyard example lives up to the reputation. Sappy in feel with floral aromatics and ripe red fruit all kept fresh by fine tannin and a dash of granite minerality. As Wine Enthusiast says in the 93 point review, “Complex aromas of black currant, blackberry and a definitive layer of field herbs are this wine's calling card. Slightly-grippy tannins take a backseat to bruised raspberry and field grass on the finish. Pair with creamy dishes, sauteed kale and sliders. This is a fantastic Fleurie!”
For You If: You like ripe fruit flavors in your Gamay with a noticeable floral accent; you’re looking for an all-purpose, crowd-pleasing, table red – this fits the bill!
