"Barthod’s 2011 Chambolle-Musigny Aux Beaux-Bruns is one of the more seamless, textured wines in the range. Dark red and blue-toned fruit, cloves and new leather all flesh out in an inviting, resonant Chambolle full of personality. The tannins are very nicely balanced, although there is a sense of rawness - especially on the finish - that requires a bit of bottle age to sort itself out. As is often the case, the Beaux-Bruns is a wine built on texture and volume."
"As is usually the case, this is one of the riper wines in the Barthod range with its spicy aromas of cassis and black cherry. There is a seductive richness and velvety texture to the very generous and lush flavors that display very good depth and length. Lovely."
