Lower ABV Xanadu makes vivid, exciting, highly-rated and hard to find wines in the cooler reaches of Australia's Margaret River. Their Chardonnays are some of Australia's most exciting, and this one from their "entry-level" line is a great introduction.

Fruit is picked ripe but VERY juicy (this is just 13.0% alcohol) and then fermented cool with malolactic fermentation blocked to keep the acid impression very high. A touch of oak and regular lees stirring add shape without wood flavor, giving wines that really zip and zing across your palate. You'll find super fresh citrus, pear and red apple flavors embedded in a creamy-textured wine that really flies through a long, mouthwatering, finish. Serve a tad warmer than usual for maximum joy.
