Vino Nobile gives a darker, earthier, take on Tuscany's Sangiovese, and that's very much present here. As Vinous says, "dark and earthy in the glass, mixing savory herbs with balsamic spices, cocoa, plums and black cherries. It smooths over the palate with silky textures complicated by tart red berries as brisk acidity maintains a lovely freshness. This tapers off lightly structured with a hint of bitterness that nicely complements the balance...a beautifully balanced wine that is loaded with character."

For You If:  You're looking for an Italian red to pair with lamb or steak or anything chock full of earthy mushroom flavors - this doesn't NEED food, but it sure will be great at table!

Not For You If:   You're in the mood for loads of fresh, juicy, fruit - this is dark and earthy in tone although still nicely fresh.
