Remarkably delicious red wine for anyone who likes 'em bold and rich that just happens to be from Greece. The wine blends 70% Merlot and 30% Mouhtaro, a super-rare grape grown only in Askri, at the foot of Helicon mountain, in Central Greece, and then aged in tank. There's an earthy base note here to match the plump and plummy fruit. Black olive and spice come up to match the ripe fruit finish. A fascinating and delicious wine for bold food.

For You If:  You're looking for a ripe and easy red with enough earthy complexity to match up with rich lamb and dishes loaded with olives and herbs; you enjoy Mourvedre - it's not confirmed, but Mohtaro may be that and certainly gives some of the same vibes.
