Philip Togni makes some of the most age-worthy and classic wines in all of Napa Valley from their estate vines at 2,000 feet on Spring Mountain. The Tanbark Hill bottling delivers Togni’s class and style in a more approachable wine, ready to enjoy now. As Galloni says in the 92 point review, it’s “a gorgeous wine to drink now and over the next decade. Ripe red cherry, plum, sweet spice, mint and rose petal are pushed forward. Ripe tannins wrap it all together. This is an especially succulent style for Togni.”
For You If: You want to drink a Napa Valley classic without having to wait 10+ years for it to come around.
Not For You If: You’re after super-full-bodied Cab – this has plenty of presence but drinks with more elegance than pure throw-weight.
