This is a library relase (Summer 2023) that's fully mature although certainly has plenty of time to go. Mayacamus is famous for age-worthy wines, and this certainly proves the point. As Wine Spectator said in their 2023 review (93 points) of this gem, "This is delicious, with lots of juicy, nicely packed black currant and black cherry fruit laced with singed alder, licorice root, warm earth and dark tobacco notes. Keeping its juicy edge through the finish, this shows a similarly hedonistic feel as the 2004, but a subtle tug of warm cast iron keeps it honest in the end. Drink now - 2038."
