Organic/Bio Lower ABV This is refreshing, delicious and full of flavor, bursting with white citrus, crunchy pear, a hint of crushed mint and vibrant stony minerality plus a hint of toast on the long, mouthwatering finish. And that’s not even the best part – it’s the texture, sleek and silky that gives the wine amazing glide from first sip to savory swallow. From Alto Adige’s first biodynamic winery, this is the region’s most traditional white blend of Pinot Bianco, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc, all fermented and aged in older oak casks and carrying the DOC of Terlaner. As James Suckling says in his 92 point review, it’s “A zesty white with minerals, pears and lemons. Nice acidity and tautness on the palate, with a medium to full body and a mouthwatering finish.”
For You If: You’re looking for Italian white refreshment with loads of flavor and a remarkably attractive, sleek, mouthfeel; you’re after a white refreshing enough to enjoy as a solo sipper and complex enough to deserve attention shared at table with fresh seafood and salads.
Not For You If: You’re looking for the super-intense citrus/grass flavors of pure Sauvignon Blanc or the body/texture of something like barrel-fermented Chardonnay – this shows just a pinch of Sauvignon Blanc character with a medium-bodied, fresh, feel at just 12.5% alcohol.
