Get ready for a ride here! This is 80% Meunier plus Pinot Noir about half 2019 and the rest from a perpetual reserve started in 2003. The base wines all aged in steel with tiny amounts of sulfur and went through malo before resting 48 months on the lees and finished with no dosage. The result is distinctly savory and complex.
As JebDunnuck.com says in the 92 point review, “Bright yellow, it opens to notes of yellow plum, red berries, orange blossom, and bread dough. The palate is pointed and bright with focused acidity, its note of savory bread dough taking the lead on the palate, followed by a brothy finish.”
For You If: You’re in the mood for something a little different and on the more savory side of fizz with plenty of energy and depth.
Not For You If: You just want a nice bottle of bubbles to sip before dinner – this is a bit more serious than that!
