Lower ABV There’s a touch of spritz to this traditional Gaillac white, but it drinks more like a summer white Rhone than a sparkler. It’s 100% Loin de L’Oeiol, a native grape that gives terrific textural and flavor concentration. Sweet apple, white stone fruit, a bit of Meyer lemon and garrigue all weave in and out on the palate before finishing fresh and easy. Fun solo and great with picnic foods, fish and salads.
For You If: You enjoy the experience of drinking spritzy whites like Vinho Verde and Taxkoli and are in the mood for that but with more substance and body; you’re grilling up some herby veggies or fish and need an easygoing, easy to enjoy, wine to share with the food.
Not For You If: You’re 100% adverse to any prickle of CO2 in your wine – this has a pop of that, although its more a spritz and less a fizz; you’re after something really rich and oaky – this is lighter and done all in steel.
