Organic/Bio Merche Daalmau and her late husband, Miguel Perez, started this project in 1999 and make pure, elegant, Priorat that pretty much beg to be drunk. This is their "fun" wine pulled from plots of Garnacha and Carignan that show well young. Full of sun-ripened red cherry and dark blueberry fruit, it's juicy in feel through the middle and then finishes with fine tannins and a bit of Priorat slate. With air, it just gets deeper, darker and richer. Braises, stews and roasts will all make for terrific pairings.

For You If:  You like the feel and structure of Right Bank Bordeaux and would welcome that with more fruit and a juicy blueberry tang.
