Pinot Nero has been growing here since the 19th century and always does best at 450-600 meters elevation, where warm summer sun is balanced by cool mountain nights. The 2022 is lovely - as Wine Spectator says, "This harmonious red is light on its feet, with fresh acidity and light, fine tannins creating a supple frame for delicate wild strawberry and cherry fruit, tea rose, Mediterranean macchia, graphite and mineral notes."

For You If:  You like Willamette Valley Pinot Noir and thing that mouthfeel and fruit would be lovely with a little Old World earthy, mineral, note.

Not For You If:  You're looking for something powerful or strong - this is more elegant and fresh, although it has plenty of weight and presence.
