New vintage but the same, favorite, classy Chardonnay juice inside. Fruit is drawn from several vineyards – called “Ranches” here – across Sonoma’s Russian River Valley. Fermentation and aging in French oak gives the wine plenty of vanilla, spice, and toast notes. But the fruit is always primary here and always remarkably fresh.
Yellow apple, green pear, and fresh nectarine notes are lifted nicely by a touch of citrus and Granny Smith. It’s certainly easy enough to drink, but it’s also very versatile with food, especially seafood, buttery vegetable dishes, and most anything that’s a bit creamy. And, it’s finished with a screwtop closure. Nothing slowing you down for getting to the pleasure!
