This big, dark, extracted Brunello that's still showing a bit of spice from it's 24 months in small, mostly new, French oak. And you should probably wait a year or two before digging in...but, wow! Is it ever impressive now. Wine Advocate describes is perfectly in the 94 point review, "Showing an especially bold bouquet and rich concentration, the Siro Pacenti 2020 Brunello di Montalcino Pelagrilli is a big expression of Sangiovese by all means, but the wine is also balanced. The intensity is played up with aromas of baked fruit, toasted spice, sweet herb and grilled rosemary, and there is a hint of redwood and cedar or barbecue smoke. To the palate, the wine is very round and fleshed out. It covers all corners of the mouth. This is a big-boned wine with powdery young tannins and a velvety finish."
For You If: You like your Brunello big, bold, dark and powerful and are willing to decant for a bit now or wait a few years to dig into a pretty impressivee wine.
Not For You If: You're looking for something "pretty" of "elegant" - this is a bit of a bruiser, if in the best way!
