The classic "flower label" bottle is almost as pretty as the wine! It's 50% Chardonnay, 45% Pinot Noir and 5% Meunier, all nicely ripe and finished at 8 g/l dosage for a generous mouthfeel and long, easy, finish. As Wine Enthusiast says in the 95 point review, "White fruit and honeysuckle aromas give the latest vintage of this iconic Champagne an impressively fresh character. Apples and just a touch of toast are reinforced by the gentle dosage of the wine."
For You If: You're after a grand bottle of bubbly that's delicious to drink now and avoids the $300+ price tag of most comparable tete de cuvees.
Not For You If: You're after the sharp, crisp, feel and finish of a low-dosage wine - this is nicely dry, but soft and supple and easy to drink solo or with food.
