Lower ABV Terrific Albarino here – crisp, mineral, tangy, salty and mouthwateringly long. The pergola-trained vines are just off the Atlantic coast on granite soils, both amping up the minerality and salty refreshment. The aromas and flavors of green apple, green peach, crunchy mango and mint come on with a burst and keep on pumping through a long, refreshing, finish. Great seafood wine!
For You If: You like classic Albarino – in these climate-change days, it’s hard to find one more stylish and pure than this; you enjoy the crispness and juiciness of Sauvignon Blanc and want that without the grapefruit.
Not For You If: You’re looking for something soft, round or oaky – this is tingly crisp and steely with no wood influence at all.
