This Loire Valley blend of 50% Chenin Blanc, 25% Chardonnay and 25% Pinot Noir with around a year on the lees is a screaming value in deliciously drinkable fizz. Aromas and flavors of golden apple, lemon, brioche and just a hint of honey come together nicely in a dry, tangy, wine with a crisp, clean, feel. A bit of minerality comes out on the dry finish to complement the ripe and juicy fruit flavors.A fine step up from Prosecco and perfect for sipping or spritzing!
For You If: You need bubbles for a crowd and want something you’ll be just as happy sipping solo as making into a Kir Royale or spritz.
Not For You If: You want the more aggressive fizz, slightly sweeter feel, and fruit-and-only-the-fruit character of Prosecco – this shows its Champagne-method winemaking in smaller bubbles and a touch of something bready/brioche-like.
