Lower ABV A lovely rose of Montepulciano d'Abruzzo that's dry, soft, and welcoming with building intensity through the spiced cherry finish. As Wine Enthusiast says in the 93 point review, "The nose is fresh and floral, with aromas of rose petals, strawberries and wild cherries, but also has a weightier, grounding earthiness. On the palate, tarter cherries and a touch of watermelon provide a piercing quality, while a stony salinity balances a gently spicy finish."
For You If: You're looking for a rose that's rich and earthy enough for autumn food and sipping but still refreshing enough to cool you off on an unseasonably warm day.
Not For You If: You're after the power and structure of a heavier-weight rose like Tavel or Bandol - this has fine presence, but flows easily and softly.
