When you hear Chateauneuf is 100% Grenache from 100+ year-old vines in a warm vintage, you can be pretty sure the wine is “big.” But here it’s also a “chiseled, intensely perfumed Châteauneuf-du-Pape marries tension and density to a pleasing effect” as Wine Advocate says in the 94 point rave. Aromas and flavors of spices, flowers and dark wild berries flow beautifully and with fabulous length. This is remarkably good.

For You If:   You’re after big, bold, rich, Chateauneuf that has the structure and length to keep you coming back for more and more.

Not For You If:   You’re looking for the darker character of Syrah or earthy/tobacco notes of Mourvedre – this is 100% Grenache and built on the wild berry/spice character of that grape.
