Organic/Bio This more or less "natural" wine estate in Tuscany focuses on biodynamic farming of non-traditional grapes for the region. Like here, a wild blend of Alicante Nero, Mourvedre, Sangiovese and Alicante Bouschet done - as with all their wines - in concrete with minimal sulfur. It's a big mouthful of Italian fun, especially after it's been open a few hours or even days. As Vinous says in the 91 point review, "The 2024 Unlitro is a tasty, juicy red to drink now and over the next handful of years. Macerated red cherry, spice, tobacco and cedar are beautifully lifted throughout. This midweight, aromatic red is a total delight.
For You If: You want a solid Tuscan red for pizza, pasta and/or parties that delivers just a bit of extra value and interest from the blend and extra-large, 1.0 liter, bottle.
Not For You If: You're in the mood for serious or smooth - this is playful and fun, juicy and direct, and finishes with a touch of classic Tuscan grip.
