Lower ABV “Ti Cuntu” means “I will tell you a story” in dialect, and the goal of this wine is to tell you the story of a place – Vittoria in Ragusa, Sicily – and grape – Frappato, possibly native here and nowhere else in the world so delicious and important. The soils here are loaded with volcanic rock, and the rough-feeling wall on the label is typical of what you’ll find dividing landholdings here. Frappato loves these soils, where it gives wine scented of cherries and rose petals that are low in alcohol, crisp in tannins, and perfect to enjoy with a light chill and plate of salami and cheese. This all steel version is a delicious classic, ready to party with a chill pop-n-pour and getting richer when drunk a tad warmer and a quick decant.
For You If: You enjoy light, chillable, quaffable, reds like Beaujolais and the country blends of Piemonte; you’re looking for the perfect picnic red – this will sing with some cold fried chicken!
Not For You If: You’re after dark, powerful or serious – this is juicy, bright, light and loaded with fun-loving flavor!
